Founder of EDGE Developers, Don Mar has over 35 years of experience in all facets of the real estate development process including a wide variety of products types such as urban residential communities, student housing, senior housing, commercial office buildings, master planned land developments, and income properties. Don is also the co-founder of Marpac Construction LLC, a Seattle General Contractor founded in 1995 that specializes in mixed use residential/commercial buildings.
Additionally, Don is a partner and manager of Mar Properties LLC, a property management firm managing three commercial office buildings and five mixed use apartment buildings in Seattle. Don also developed and manages Acacia Court, a 102 unit of student housing development located in the University District.
Don is an active member in the community sitting on multiple boards of nonprofit organizations. Don has served on the board of the Kin On for nearly a decade and currently serves on their planning committee to assist with Kin On’s Assisted Living Facility expected to break ground this summer.
Joel Ing has been a specialist in community development since 1998. Joel has managed the development of projects whose value exceeds $300 million throughout Washington and Oregon. He has expertise in both private and public financing methods including affordable housing financing as well as Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
Joel has a long history of assisting non-profit and government organizations fulfill their mission through public financed projects, previously as a public finance banker, and municipal credit analyst. Joel is Co-Chair of the Washington State Affordable Housing Advisory Board, and a board member on the State Public Stadium Authority, and serves on the King County Housing Development Consortium Board.
Evan Chan has been active in the Pacific Northwest in the development and construction industries for over 23 years. Evan has developed and built mixed use in fill apartments and condominiums in the Puget Sound areas with projects exceeding 250 units. He has taken the projects from land acquisition, entitlements, and built the projects as the general contractor, and through the lease up or sale of the units. Evan has a broad range of experience in leading development projects from concept through feasibility, due diligence, design, construction, and sell-out for mid-rise/mixed use projects..
